@mikee47 Are you planning some changes for this PR? Maybe we should merge it as it is and improve it with further PRs? |
@slaff Other than the MQTT client revisions there's not really much else here. I wanted to throw a brick in the water and see if any hippos appeared... This isn't in active development (as HueEmulator meets basic requirements far more easily) but I think it is a worthy goal. Can leave this PR open as a stick in the mud, or something else? |
Let's merge it as it is and improve if needed. The sample is really helpful for AWS usage as it demonstrates all the small steps. Just make sure to rebase it and ping me when ready. |

This PR is intended to provide a guide to building and connecting devices using AWS IOT.
The requirement is to allow Sming applications to publish their services via AWS IOT cloud so they can be found by Alexa devices.
For basic devices the HueEmulator provides a much simpler solution as devices such as the Echo Dot can connect to these locally without any additional setup.
This project is incomplete but perhaps others have got a bit further and can assist?
